Audio Visual Lab is a Durban video production studio founded in 2014. We build visual work that helps ambitious brands earn attention and close distance with their audience.
In Brief
A Durban studio with a national reach.
The studio covers the whole production ladder — directors, DOPs, editors, sound, lighting, aerial — from one studio, on one schedule. Our team includes a director, director of photography, camera operator, sound recordist, drone pilot (SACAA-licensed), editor, colourist, sound designer and motion graphics artist.
For brands, that means one studio handling the full production chain. For agencies, it means a production partner that plugs into your creative team without friction.

Clarity before craft
The most cinematic shoot in the world fails if the message isn't clear. We start every project with a clarity brief — what you need the audience to think, feel or do — before a camera is pointed at anything.
Honest scoping
You get one quote, transparently broken down by line item. No "we'll figure it out on set." No surprise add-ons at the end of the project. If we can't do something in your budget, we say so before we start.
Delivery that respects the deadline
We build production timelines backward from your delivery date. Every project has a hard delivery date in the contract. We hit it, or we explain why — in writing, in advance.
03 / Inside the Studio
The full production stack, in-house.
Our in-house team covers every role in a professional production: director, director of photography, camera operator, sound recordist, drone pilot (SACAA-licensed), editor, colourist, sound designer and motion graphics artist.
We shoot on 4K cinema cameras, operate DJI drones up to 5.7K, carry professional lighting rigs and broadcast sound systems, and finish in a dedicated post-production suite running DaVinci Resolve Studio and a calibrated monitoring chain.
