Services / Drone Aerial
Drone & aerial videography, fully licensed.
SACAA-licensed drone videography across Durban and KZN. Aerial cinematography for commercials, brand films, property, tourism and industrial. Insured and compliant.
01 / Why Credentials Matter
Licensed. Insured. Compliant.
SACAA licensed drone videography Durban brands and agencies trust for cinematic aerial work. We hold a Remote Pilot Licence (RPL), a Remote Operator Certificate (ROC) and full commercial public liability — the credentials hobbyist drone operators don't have.
If you've been quoted drone footage by a hobbyist operator without a Remote Pilot Licence, you cannot legally use that footage in a commercial context in South Africa. It's a risk to your brand and a compliance failure that can affect broadcast clearance.
Operating commercially without an SACAA ROC is a criminal offence under Part 101 of the Civil Aviation Regulations. Every flight on every project we take is logged, insured and cleared.

02 / Industries & Applications
Aerial cinematography for every South African industry.
We fly commercially across every sector. Every application has different technical requirements — we scope each brief around the site, the airspace, and the deliverable.

KZN coverage. National project work.

FAQ
Common questions.
Yes. All Audio Visual Lab drone operators hold valid RPAS licences from the South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA), with full public liability insurance for all aerial operations. Always request a licence and insurance certificate from any operator before booking.
Standalone aerial shoots range from R5,000–R25,000 for a half day depending on location, duration, and deliverables. Integrated into a larger production, aerial is scoped as part of the overall project.
Night operations and restricted airspace require additional SACAA approvals and ATNS notifications — we manage all of these as part of the production planning process. We advise on location restrictions and approval timelines during the initial briefing stage.
Yes — and this is the most effective approach. We combine RPAS aerial with cinema-grade ground footage in one coordinated shoot, giving you both sweeping scale and human-level detail without running two separate crews.
Yes. We have extensive experience on mining operations, industrial facilities, and large infrastructure sites. Industrial aerial requires site safety briefings, access protocols, and specific compliance documentation — our team manages all of this before and during production.
